¡Bienvenidos A la Página WEB de Sra. Martinez!
PURPOSE: This website not only serves as a resource for my students, but is also an online portfolio for courses I have completed or will complete through Concordia College for my Masters of Education in World Language Instruction. This website is a collection of assignments and descriptions from each of my graduate courses. A website is an appropriate channel for me to be able to share my work with colleagues and other teachers and guide my students in learning. The website will be especially affective for my students because it is easy for students to access during class and at home. The website will provide opportunities for students to practice Spanish outside of the classroom. My hope is that it is convenient and useful for everyone. It is also the first technology module required by AMLA 610: Technology for Effective Language Instruction. |

ABOUT ME
Although I have always wanted to be a teacher, I didn’t know I wanted to teach Spanish until studying abroad in Cuernavaca, Mexico for a semester in college. I fell in love with the language and the culture. I am very excited to share my experiences and knowledge. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Education from the University of North Dakota and am currently working on a Masters in World Language Instruction through Concordia College of Moorhead. This is my fifth year of teaching, but only my third year with Bismarck Public Schools. Previously I worked in Hayfield, MN, but moved back to Bismarck because I love this city and my family lives here. I actually was the first ninth grade class at Horizon when it was built in 2001 and graduated from Century High School in 2004. What makes me smile: family, traveling (anywhere), coffee, teaching, lesson planning, learning, and running (hopefully a half-marathon in every state).
